How much physical activity do I need?
The first aspect essential to remember about physical activity is: „Better a poor horse than no horse at all. ". Even a few minutes of light physical activity practiced regularly brings some health benefits. However, to have substantial health benefits, recent studies recommend:
At least 150 minutes (2 and a half hours) of moderate-intensity activity per week. This means 30 minutes a day for 5 days a week, broken down into 10 minute activities, if it is easier.
At least 75 minutes of high-intensity exercise per week (They will give you the same benefits if you want something more intense). That means running for 15 minutes a day for five days a week.
Include muscle strengthening activities at least twice a week.
You can combine both moderate-intensity and extreme intensity exercises, remembering the general rule that 2 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise is the equivalent of 1 minute of intense physical activity.
